Introducing TheMeccaLounge.com, an online writing Community dedicated to up and coming writers (and now artists) of color. We are an exclusive Community of writers and artists who believe that in order to grow in the genre, constant feedback is a necessity. Our Community houses exclusive monthly author and artist interviews, a listing of African American owned bookstores in your area, links to African American author houses, and more.

We also house TheMeccaNetwork, our way of showing unity amongst African-American writing websites. TheMeccaNetwork links sites that we consistently and personally work with to open the writing of not only our writers and those of the sites we network with, but also the visitors to our Community. Our Community is updated daily, so our Community has no over-inflated membership numbers, which means that all of the writers registered with us are active and participates in the development of one another.
